Dance Marathon Raises Over $10,000 for Children’s Miracle Network at Arnot Health

Dance Marathon Raises Over $10,000 for Children’s Miracle Network at Arnot Health
Children’s Miracle Network at Arnot Health received a generous donation through of the efforts of Emily Bush, Class of ’18, and president of the Elmira College Dance Marathon, her executive team and the scores of student volunteers who worked over the past six months to help raise funds to support Children’s Miracle Network. The group achieved a significant milestone on April 2 when over 100 students participated in a 6-hour event to bring the fundraiser to a rousing close.

Dancers recruited pledges from friends, family members and sponsors with the goal of remaining on their feet for the full 6 hours. As part of the event, the students hosted a party for CMN families that included dancing, games and other live entertainment.

“I cannot speak highly enough of Emily, her team and their commitment, dedication and desire to serve our community.  These students are remarkable ambassadors not only for CMN but for the college as well,” said Alene Goodman, Children’s Miracle Network Specialist at Arnot Health.

At midnight, the group celebrated a successful conclusion with the announcement of $10,693.19 raised for the benefit of Children’s Miracle Network.
