The Perinatal Bereavement Program at Arnot Ogden Medical Center will host a memorial gathering, “Grief Shared is Grief Diminished,” at 2 p.m. on Sunday, October 16 in the Petrie Conference Center on the ground floor of the Medical Center.
This spiritual memorial gathering is being held for family, friends and caretakers of persons who have experienced a loss of pregnancy or infant death. This gathering allows families to reaffirm that their babies have not been forgotten. By coming together and remembering the lost loved one, the pain of grief will diminish. Childcare is available. Advance notice is required. Interested individuals should call Health on Demand at (607) 737-4499 or 800-952-2662 for childcare registration or program information.
The service of remembrance is being held in October as part of Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness Month. It is just one part of the supportive services for bereaved parents offered by Arnot Health. The Arnot Health Regional Perinatal Center addresses the needs of bereaved families with a very special program year-round. The program allows bereaved parents and support persons to receive specialized support immediately following a loss and through the first year.
The memorial service is sponsored by Arnot Ogden Medical Center’s Perinatal Bereavement Committee and is funded by Children’s Miracle Network.
