Arnot Health, an affiliate of Centralus Health, is honored to receive a $27,500 donation from the Josh Palmer Fund in support of cancer patients receiving care at the Falck Cancer Center. The contribution will directly benefit programs and services that help ease the physical, emotional, and financial burden of cancer treatment for patients throughout the Southern Tier.

For more than 30 years, the Falck Cancer Center at Arnot Ogden Medical Center has provided comprehensive, patient-centered care close to home. Funds from this donation will support vital patient assistance efforts, ensuring individuals and families have access to resources that complement high-quality medical treatment.

"We are deeply grateful to the Josh Palmer Fund for their continued investment in the care we provide at the Falck Cancer Center," said Casey Rose, Director of the Arnot Health Foundation. "This generous gift allows Arnot Health to meet patients where they are, supporting them not only clinically, but also by helping relieve the financial stress that often accompanies a cancer diagnosis."

The Josh Palmer Fund was established by Elmira native Josh Palmer, a standout Southside High School athlete. At age 19, Palmer was diagnosed with late-stage Hodgkin's disease, a cancer of the lymphatic system. After successful treatment and recovery, Palmer recognized that, beyond the medical challenges of cancer, many patients and families struggle with the financial strain that accompanies diagnosis and treatment. This helped spark the creation of what is now the Josh Palmer Fund, a nonprofit dedicated to assisting local cancer patients with expenses related to treatment.

Today, the Fund raises money through community events such as golf and basketball tournaments; proceeds are donated to local healthcare organizations such as Arnot Health's Falck Cancer Center, where funds are used to support patients across their cancer journey.

"Community partnerships like this are critical to our mission," Rose added. "Because the generosity of organizations like the Josh Palmer Fund, Arnot Health can continue delivering compassionate, comprehensive cancer care while patients can focus on what matters most: healing."
