Participating in Arnot Health's Social Media Communities
Thank you for participating in Arnot Health's social media communities.
Our social media communities provide general information about Arnot Health and updates on events, links and information that may be of interest to our patients and the communities we serve. The information provided by Arnot Health on these platforms is intended for educational purposes only. It is not intended as an endorsement or a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Our social media communities are not a substitute for direct communication with your health care provider. Through this medium, we are unable to address specific medical concerns, provide prescription refills, handle paperwork, handle financial or billing issues or schedule appointments.
Our social media communities are not monitored 24 hours per day, 7 days per week. If you have an urgent situation, dial 911 from your phone. For non-urgent medical questions or concerns, please call your primary care provider directly, or call Health on Demand at 607-737-4499. For all other inquires, including billing, contact information can be found on the contact us page for various departments.
Social media are public forums, and all information you share can be viewed by others. Do not post your personal and/or medical information or a friend's or relative's because the information will not be private. Arnot Health is prohibited from responding to personal or medical questions or comments on social media due to federal and state privacy laws. Information you share may be viewed, liked, commented on, shared, copied, forwarded, printed, uploaded to other sites, and/or archived by other users. Arnot Health has no control over the actions, policies, or practices of other users.
Arnot Health reserves the right to delete postings or block users that it deems to be slanderous, unlawful, obscene, hateful, soliciting, threatening, abusive, harassing or an infringement of another's rights, including but not limited to intellectual property, privacy or publicity rights. Arnot Health also may remove from discussion threads any comments that are off topic, repetitive or spam.
Arnot Health employees must comply with all laws and Arnot Health policies as they apply to social media activity. These include but are not limited to Arnot Health's social media policy as well as HIPAA, compliance, conflict of interest, security and safety. Employees are responsible for understanding and following these policies. Failure to comply may result in disciplinary action. Consult your manager or the Privacy Officer if you have questions about your social media activity.
By participating with Arnot Health in social networking communities, you agree to indemnify Arnot Health against any damages, losses, liabilities, judgments, costs or expenses arising out of a claim by a third party relating to any posts, comments, likes, shares or other social media activity you have undertaken.
