We have opened a medical weight loss program located at the Southport, NY office that utilizes the skills of the Specialty Pharmacy at Arnot.

Providers are available to see patients who want to explore weight loss opportunities that do not include surgery. The use of injectable medications and other options gives patients new avenues to pursue as they work to improve their health.

The specialty pharmacists and patient liaisons at Arnot Health work with Arnot Health's care teams to coordinate with providers so that patients receive the high touch support needed to manage complex medication regimens. This integrated approach will improve medication access, increase medication compliance, and streamline the care experience for patients with complex and chronic health conditions. Ultimately, this service can help many patients find ways to pay for their medications, which will help improve their health and quality of life

Patients can make an appointment for an initial assessment or ask their primary care provider to send a referral. One of the requirements for the program is that patients try a traditional weight loss method before qualifying for medical weight loss techniques.
