Visitors to St. Joseph’s Hospital
Visitors are welcome at St. Joseph's Hospital, and considered a vital part of patient care and recovery. It is our pleasure to support our patients in their choice of visitors.
During cold and flu season, for patient safety reasons, if you are sick, please do not visit.
2018 Visitor restrictions are currently active due to widespread flu in the county:
- No more than (2) visitors plus (1) designated care giver/support person per patient may be present in patient rooms at any time.
- No one under the age of 14 may visit the hospital
- Exception: In Maternity units only, healthy siblings of any age are permitted to visit healthy newborns
- If you have a fever, cough, body aches, or a sore throat, or if you have had contact with anyone who had those symptoms within the past 4 days, please postpone your visit until you have been symptom-free for 24 hours.
Visitor restrictions are not unusual, and are occasionally necessary in limiting exposure to outside contaminants, and allowing ill individuals on our units to regain their health. We understand that this may be inconvenient and will remove these restrictions when influenza is no longer widespread in our area. Thank you for your consideration and commitment to the health and well-being of our patients.
When flu restrictions are not in effect, St. Joseph's Hospital maintains a flexible and accessible visitation policy. We welcome visitors to our patient areas from 8 a.m. - 8 p.m. daily. For patient safety and infection control reasons, some specialty units operate differently.
Behavioral Science Unit (1st floor): Visitors are welcome (2 at a time) from 1 - 2 p.m. and 7 - 8 p.m. daily.
Alcohol Rehabilitation Unit: Visitors are welcome (2 at a time) from 1:30 - 3:30 Sundays.
