According to the most recent United States Renal Data Systems data, there are more than 400,000 people in the United States with End-Stage Renal Disease (ESRD). Of those, more than 300,000 received some form of dialysis therapy. According to the data, the number of newly diagnosed people with ESRD increased by more than 100,000.
It is important to know that you are at increased risk of developing kidney disease and should consult your primary care physician.

When your kidneys fail, you need some form of treatment to replace the function of your once healthy kidneys. Should you decide to receive treatment, your options include hemodialysis, peritoneal dialysis and kidney transplant.
